1. Registering for a Nexon Japan account

1. Head on over to Nexon Japan’s website here and click on the big red button titled as “NEXON ID登録”

   

2. At Step 1, Nexon Japan will ask you for an email address to sign up with. Type in your wanted email and then click Next titled as “メールを認証する”.

   

3. You will then see a page that shows your email address. Head on over to your email to find an email from Nexon Japan.

   

4. Click on the verification link provided by the email to continue your registration.

   

5. You have now reached Step 2. Enter the following according to the inputs below:

   1. Nexon ID
   2. Password
   3. Password (re-enter)
   4. Email marketing option
      1. First option means you accept Nexon Japan marketing emails.
      2. Second option means you do not accept Nexon Japan marketing emails.

   Once you have completed this, click Next titled as “入力内容と利用規約の確認へ”.

   

6. You will then reach Step 3. This shows your inputted details to confirm that these details are indeed correct and that you wish to create your Nexon ID.

   

7. Scroll down to see the Terms of Use from Nexon Japan, then click the checkbox to accept and then click Next titled as “登録完了”.

   

8. Your Nexon ID is then successfully created!

   

2. Registering for a Maple ID

<aside> 🚨 You may need to connect to a Japanese VPN to complete this process. You may need to use a Chromium browser in order to complete this process.

The second step to this process is using your Nexon Japan account to sign up to MapleStory.

1. Head on over to MapleStory Japan’s website here and click the pink button titled as “メイプルID 登録”

   

2. Log in to your Nexon Japan account. If you have not done this, check out Section 1 of this guide. Unless you have setted up 2FA, you can ignore the third field.
